Today we have released an update to our WordPress stock market plugin WP Stock Ticker Pro.
New shortcode features
The new version (3.3) has new shortcode features to toggle the display of charts.
The plugin supports two modes of operation; a scrolling ticker and a static display of stock quotes. For each of these there is a setting on the plugin’s setting page that allows you to enable or disable the display of charts.
When using a WordPress shortcode to insert the ticker into your page or post you can now set another attribute on the shortcode to toggle or override the default behaviour.
When working with a scrolling ticker use the following syntax:
[s_ticker_display chart=’yes’]
[s_ticker_display chart=’no’]
When working with a static block of quotes the following syntax now allows you to turn charts on or off:
[s_static_display chart=’yes’]
[s_static_display chart=’no’]
Compatibility with WordPress 4.3
The new version also provides full support for 4.3. Older versions of the plugin may have problems displaying widget stock tickers on WordPress 4.3
How to get the update
The update is a free update for all users with current licences. Visit the Updates or Plugin section of your WordPress dashboard to accept the automatic update available there.

Hi
would this plugin allow me to display a share price chart for the ASX listed company Tissue Therapies Limited and are the shortcakes able to be used with visual composer containers such as text boxes etc?
Cheers zig
Peter says
Hi.
Yes. Most ASX companies are supported.
I just checked and found that the code via Yahoo Finance is TIS.AX (up 3.9% today! Well done !!)
There is detailed docs on the shortcodes that are available here.
Or you can also chat to our support guys 🙂
Hope that helps.

Does this support OTC stocks such as pink sheets and bulletin boards?
Thanks
Peter says
Hi Stephen,
The plugin pulls data from Yahooo! Finance.
So it’s available in the web interface it should be available in our plugin.
There is one or two exceptions, for example the DOW index (not individual stocks just the index) is not available from Yahoo
Hope that helps

Using this plugin, is it possible to have continuous pricing so as to indicate current profit or loss for any recomendation I have published?
Peter says
Hi Steve,
I think if I understand what you’re saying, you want to show the price for a specific quote over time?
If that is the case then I’m sorry our plugin will not do that. We grab 20 minute delayed pricing and display that, only the current price is available – we don’t store a history.
