New authentication method
Zoho are dropping support for the API key to authenticate users of their API, this will be done as of June 30 2012. All users of our plugin are advised to update before then to avoid interuptions.
Their system is now built around an Authentication Token. Once the new version of the plugin is installed and you’ve setup your CRM username and password the token will automatically be generated for you and saved in your WordPress setup.
New features
The new version of the plugin also sports support for Zoho CRM’s workflow and approval features. If you use automated workflows within the CRM you can now choose to turn on support for these and when a lead is created the workflow will be triggered.
Likewise if you’d like to have your new leads segregated you can use Zoho’s ‘approval’ mode whereby leads will be entered but stored for approval before being included in your main lead list.
Bugs fixed
There is a number of fixed included in this version:
- Zoho password not being saved in some situations
- Longer forms placing the fields in the incorrect fields when data placed in Zoho
- Blank popups problem resolved
Finally we’ve also added a debug tool that allows you to see the output from the API for testing purposes.
As usual, if you’d like to ask a question or have a problem head over to our support site and get involved in the forum for this plugin here.
