11 July 2013We’re sorry to say that our free WordPress plugin WP Stock Ticker, that was hosted in the WordPress.org repository is not available at the moment.
WordPress received a complaint from the NASDAQ that our plugin was somehow interfering with their Terms of Service.
Our plugin uses the Yahoo! Finance YQL API. As far as we knew Yahoo makes this available for web services exactly like this.
We are currently trying to get an answer from Yahoo about this – we’ll update this post with more information when we receive a response.
The Pro version is still available while we attempt to resolve this problem.
