We’re sorry to say that our free WordPress plugin WP Stock Ticker, that was hosted in the WordPress.org repository is not available at the moment.
WordPress received a complaint from the NASDAQ that our plugin was somehow interfering with their Terms of Service.
Our plugin uses the Yahoo! Finance YQL API. As far as we knew Yahoo makes this available for web services exactly like this.
We are currently trying to get an answer from Yahoo about this – we’ll update this post with more information when we receive a response.
The Pro version is still available while we attempt to resolve this problem.

I literally just purchased the pro version and it currently says “Yahoo finance API is not available right now, please try again soon… ” on my website. Please advise if this works anymore or if this is just temporary

We purchased the PRO version some time ago and are still getting “Yahoo finance API is not available right now, please try again soon…” when using the static widget.
Also, I’m not sure if we are declaring the currency variables correctly because wp-debug is throwing “Notice: Undefined variable: saved_currency_codes in /home/texqy/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-stock-ticker-pro/WPStockTickerPro.php on line 1525” when inputting a “$” for the Currency Symbol and “USD” for Currency Name.
Please assist.
Thank you.

Andrew, would you submit a support ticket and one of the team will assist with your configuration
Andrew says
I did. I’m in contact with Xinjun now. Thanks Peter.

I own the pro version – getting this right now: Yahoo finance API is not available right now, please try again soon…
Nothing functional – huuuge issue.
I already submitted a support ticket. Is this a known issue ALL users are experiencing right now?
