With our plugin Gravity Forms to Zoho CRM you can easily automate the entry of form data into your Zoho CRM account. Regularly our support team gets asked the question about spam, so in this post we’ll show you how to reduce the amount of spam getting through your WordPress site and into your Zoho CRM account.
Firstly a little background
Our plugin takes entries as they are submitted by Gravity Forms and injects them into Zoho, using the secure SSL based API. If your website is a target for spammers what can happen is that they begin to send spam entires to your form, this in turn can be inserted into your Zoho account as a lead – annoying to say the least!
Gravity Forms integrations with the popular anti-spam plugin Akismet. Before you continue with the rest of the steps here, ensure that you have Akismet installed and activated.
From the Forms menu in your WordPress dashboard, click Settings. You should see an interface much like the screen shot below.
Select Yes for the option Akismet integration.
Gravity Forms will now use the Akismet plugin to check the contents of each form entry that is submitted. Gravity Forms to Zoho CRM, our plugin also pays attention to the spam setting, meaning any form entry that is labelled as spam by Akismet will not be sent to your Zoho CRM account.
