Campaign Tracker 3.9 Updates

WordPress hooks or Javascript?

All version up until 3.9 supported two ways to interact with the Forms on your website. The first was to use WordPress hooks, these use PHP to grab the cookie data and populate it into the hidden form fields. The second way uses Javascript.

From version 3.9 we are doing more advanced tracking and computing of the marketing data that is ultimately then saved in the form fields. WordPress hooks are no longer able to do everything we wanted to do.

When you upgrade from a previous version of Campaign Tracker you will see a prompt like this.

Change this setting to “Javascript” – see below.

Once you change this option to Javascript, the option to move back to WordPress hooks will not longer be available. We will be completely removing support for hooks in future updates.
