We have developed a number of WordPress plugins that are add-on plugins for Gravity Forms. There is a common use case for many of these add-ons: setup an enquiry form on your WordPress site and have the enquiries injected directly into your CRM.
Currently we have solutions for Zoho CRM, Contactually and Pipedrive.
If you’re an existing user of these plugins you’ll be interested in Campaign Tracker for WordPress, it takes the functionality one step further. It allows you to setup tracking data (think Google campaign URLs and web referrer etc..) and have that data instead into your CRM right alongside the enquiry itself.
What can you track?
First up is the website referrer. Where did the user come from? A Google search? Perhaps you have banner ads placed on other websites or if there is no referrer then you’ll see that the user is “Direct”.
Then if you use Google’s campaign tracking URLs (you know the ones, source, medium, term, campaign etc… ) then you can track these variables. The plugin also supports custom URL variables.
Finally, if you use Google Adwords you’ll find their special variable (GCLID) is available to track in your forms.
All of this data, or just the parts relevant to your setup is available to your Gravity Forms (Ninja Forms and Formidable too). Place the data into hidden fields and it can be passed through to your CRM.
Watch the video introduction
Sometimes it’s just easier to show you! Watch the video below to get a quick overview of the setup of the plugin. It covers other things like Google campaign URLs but will leave you with a general overview of how things work.
Zoho CRM users that use Google Adwords
We have a lot of Zoho CRM users and many of you have asked us about the new ability in Zoho CRM to collect Google’s GCLID value to track adwords clicks against leads in your CRM. So in our campaign tracking plugin we added the ability to save the GCLID value and map that through your Gravity Forms setup.
When a user clicks on one of your Adwords ads, they arrive on your site. We track the GCLID and if they fill in your Gravity Form we can now make that value available to the form. You can map it into Zoho CRM and the tracking data is stored with the lead / enquiry.
The plugin presents the GCLID in the form settings, see the screenshot below.
