There is a new version of our plugin featured images for categories, available today as a free update for all users with a current licence. Check the updates or plugin section of your WordPress dashboard to see the update and automatically install it. More details on the update are available here.

New shortcode option to remove inline styles

Developers working with our plugin been asking for a little while to have the option to turn off the inline CSS styles in the output of the plugin. This new release supports a new option in the shortcode to do this.

Below is an example of the usage of this new shortcode option “noinlinestyle”:

[FeaturedImagesCat taxonomy='category' noinlinestyle='true']

Some users have asked to have the ability to out put the image in random order.

[FeaturedImagesCat taxonomy='category' randomly='true']

This option has also been added to the widget for the plugin. The screenshot opposite shows the current abilities of the widget.
