Our popular and free WordPres plugin, Google Author Link has been update this week.
The new update supports Google’s Publisher Profile for company / brand pages on Google +.
So, as well as being able to connect individual authors with blog posts on your site, you’re now able to connect the entire site with your Google + company / brand page.
The update simply adds another setting to the plugin settings page where you place the URL of your company or brand’s page on Google +
If you already have the plugin installed, head to the plugin page in your WordPress Dashboard to grab the update. Otherwise you can download the plugin at the WordPress repository here.

Hi there,
A couple of questions. Just so I am clear, I select myself as the author – Check! Then I add my company google+ page/about in the second field – Check!
Do I need to go into every page and write “By Mr Smith” as the author like google says to do? Or will everything be taken care of by the plugin?
Thanks in advance, and keep up the good work.
Regards,
Gerry

Gerry, no you don’t need to do it on every page, the plugin does that for you.
Sounds like what you’ve done is all you need.

I was curious if you ever thought of changing the layout of your site?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so
people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot
of text for only having 1 or two pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?

Hi,
I really like your plugin…very easy to use and flawless.
I would like clarification on removing authorship from categories. Is the correct way to highlight the category you want removed and then hit save? The un-highlighted categories remain to be included in google authorship?
I’m asking because with the old version, google authorship appeared relatively fast in the serps. It’s been over a week since I used the new plugin and I have not seen the “authorship picture” in the serps

Orlando

Hi Orlando.
You are correct, you choose the categories that you would like to remove the authorship code from, the remaining categories will all have the code added when the page is displayed.

Hi,
I have installed the plugin and set the Google profile url to :-
https://plus.google.com/1145693832344692543242/posts
Do I have to add custom link in Google plus for this to work? or is that it?
Thanks again for this plugin!

It seems that the plugin isn’t compatible with the Google+ page link service. Has anyone else had difficulty in adding your website to the Google+ page via the webmaster tools?
Peter says
Hi not entirely sure what you mean by page link service.
Perhaps you’re referring to the other methods of claiming authorship?
