Welcome to 2021! We have been working away on a brand new version of Campaign Tracker for WordPress. Version 3.0 will be available in February 2021, we’re working on finishing it now. This new release will feature User Journey Tracking. Read on for a teaser on what is coming up!
What is User Journey Tracking?
In short, understand which sections of your website a visitor interacted with, before they complete one of your webforms. Each time a form entry is created you will now have this additional data available to you. Probably the best to demonstrate the idea is to show you this screen-capture from the new release.
You might be familiar with the top section, it shows the entry data from a Gravity Forms submission. Directly below this is where the fun starts. You can see here that the pages, posts etc. that the visitors viewed are now visible. Right up to the page where the user submits your form.
If you need it, this data can also be sent in a hidden field with your form submission. So you will receive your usually notification email and have this data available there too.
Form plugin compatibility
When version 3.0 comes out we’ll have support built in for these WordPress form plugins:
- Gravity Forms
- Ninja Forms
- Formidable Forms
Our plugin continues to support Contact Forms 7 and WP Forms for all other features but User Journey Tracking for these two will be coming soon.
This update will be a free update for Campaign Tracker for WordPress users with a current licence. We’ll be tidying things up through until the end of January. It will be polished and released during February. The update will show up in the WordPress plugin updates in your install but we’ll also send you an email to remind you that the new version is available.
If you’re new to the plugin, read a little more about its other features here.
