Need to quickly add video content to your Genesis powered WordPress site? We did too, that’s why we made our Genesis media plugin to speed up the process. Today, I’m going to share a couple of WordPress sites that are using our plugin Media Manager for Genesis.
Borrowdale Free Range Pork
This Australian based free range pork brand has a WordPress site designed by our parent company The DMA. The client has recently been working hard to produce a number of high quality videos to tell the story of its clients and advocates.
The videos are hosted with Vimeo. From there they are embedded into the WordPress site using Media Manager for Genesis. The screenshot below is from the archive page that the plugin creates, showing the latest videos that have been added.
Clicking the watch now buttons take the user to the single video page where the Vimeo player automatically embeds the video.
The plugin includes a WordPress widget that makes including video content in any of your widget areas a very simple task. The Borrowdale site makes use of this too. The home page is configured to show the latest video content that has been added to the library.
Follow the link below to visit the live website and see the plugin in action there.
The DMA client portal
When we’re not building new WordPress plugins, we’re creating Genesis powered sites. Our new client portal also make use of this our Genesis media plugin. We regularly create and record webinars for our clients. The plugin makes a video library that allows clients to re-watch the webinars at their leisure.
Below is a quick screen shot of the video library.
More than just video?
The plugin works with any WordPress media that can be embedded. It does not have be all about video. The example site below show cases a library of original music, embedded from SoundCloud.
The plugin allows you to update the button labels, so “watch now” can easily become “listen now” and there you go a music library instead.
