Getting Started with Campaign Tracker for WordPress

This is the getting started guide for our plugin Campaign Tracker for WordPress. If you're just installing the plugin for the first time... start here.

Track the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns by capturing essential data from your website’s forms.

Quick Start Guide

  1. Install and Activate the Plugin:
  2. Ensure Compatibility with Supported Form Plugins:
    • Gravity Forms, Ninja Forms, Formidable Forms, WP Forms, Contact Form 7.
    • Ensure one of these is installed and activated.
  3. Add Hidden Fields to Your Forms:
    • Edit your form and add hidden fields for campaign data (e.g., ‘utm_source’).
    • Label fields appropriately.
  4. Map Campaign Data to Form Fields:
    • Go to Settings > Campaign Tracker.
    • Select your form plugin and configure the settings.
    • Save changes.
  5. Use Campaign URLs in Marketing:
    • Include tracking parameters in URLs (e.g., ?utm_source=newsletter).
  6. View Captured Data:
    • Check form entries in your form plugin’s dashboard.
    • Ensure notifications include hidden fields.

Additional Features

User Journey Tracking

Monitor pages visited by a user, before form submission. This feature also works with WooCommerce but instead of form submissions, a journey is tracked until a sale is completed.

  • Enable under Settings > Campaign Tracker.
  • Available for Gravity Forms, Ninja Forms, Formidable Forms, WP Forms.

WooCommerce Integration

Track campaign data for WooCommerce orders.

  • Enable in Settings > Campaign Tracker under the WooCommerce tab.
  • View data in order details.
