Google Analytics Tracking for Forms is one of our oldest WordPress plugins, first published back in 2013. Today however, it’s time to say goodbye.
We launched its replacement Campaign Tracking for WordPress just over a year ago and from today we’ll no longer be offering the old plugin.
We have offered an upgrade to the new plugin to users of Google Analytics Tracking for Forms over the past 12 months, a lot of users have made the move to the newer plugin. The offer is still open to existing users, if you’d like to update to the new plugin we can swap over an active licence to the new one at no cost. If your licence is out of date we’ll also give you a discount on renewal. In either case say hello to our support team and we’ll get it sorted for you.
What is the difference between the two plugins?
The replacement Campaign Tracker for WordPress is a complete re-write of the original plugin. It has all the functionality of the old plugin plus it works for users who are using Google’s Universal Analytics.
It doesn’t stop there, we’re continuing to improve the plugin and add more functionality over time. You can now create Google campaign URLs directly from within your WordPress dashboard (see below).
It has support for popular WordPress form plugins (think: Gravity Forms, Ninja Forms and Contact Form 7 and Formidable), meaning the setup is easier than ever.
Learn more about the plugin right here, browse the documentation to get the jump on how to install and configure it.
We also have a blog post An introduction to campaign tracking with WordPress here, it provides a great introduction to the topic of campaign tracking with Google Analytics.
Lester Radford says
I am about to launch a blog on an associates web site which will open up a huge market from which we will receive enquiries for financial lending. It will become a nightmare to align the various emails that will send me a prospects contact details and other information they have been asked to submit. The request for the information stems from instructions on our Word Press forms we have used. I need to be able to assign a tracking number or have some means of tracking a prospect the moment they complete one of our forms.
