Media Manager for Genesis – new version available now (1.4)

Version 1.4 has some little tweaks that we think you'll like. Control comments on your media posts, improved control over the buttons on archive and single posts, as well as a few behind the scenes improvements.

Video manager for Genesis WordPress

This plugin was born from us developing many projects that have a similar requirement. The ability to embed media of some sort (Youtube, Soundcloud) into a WordPress site (obviously using the Genesis theme framework!). As we continue to use it on our own projects we see little features that we need. Hopefully existing and new users of the plugin will also benefit. Enter version 1.4 of Media Manager for Genesis.

Control those comments

You’re now able to control comments of the media, turn them on or off. This is done as the post type is registered. So if you’d like to shut off comments entirely you can now do that, look for the new option in the settings page.

Button control

On the media archive page, you now have the option to show or hide the button that links to the individual post. We’ve found that there are some situations where the button is not really required. So, turn it off!

While we’re on buttons you can control the text on the buttons, both on the archive page and the media single post.

Settings Page

In the past couple of releases we have added a number of things to the settings page. It was getting a little messy. We have reorganised this to make things more clear.

Other updates

Version 1.4 has a few behind the scenes updates too. Improved handling of the plugin renewal and licence activation process.
